As you know I am off for June but I would not leave you hanging without your weekly motivation! A few things this week...
*Remember to drink half your weight in ounces in water each and every day
*Drink 8 ounces of water before all meals and 8 ounces before you take seconds
*Move your body doing something you love every single day
*Eat a serving of raw vegetables mid morning and late afternoon
*Warm lemon water (w/ ACV optional) once or twice a day
*Thoughts of your past have created your NOW, so right NOW your thoughts are creating your FUTURE....Keep the POSITIVE, yes even when the going gets rough YOU MUST...this is crucial...MUST keep thinking thoughts that you WANT to see in your life, derail from the things that you DON'T want to have happen....trust me (I elaborate more here)
My meals this week will likely consist of a lot of the sameness...WHY? Because, when you don't have so many options you won't have so many temptations. Just narrow it down to a few great recipes you will look forward to and eat it all week long. Then you will NOT, I promise you, WILL NOT get sidetracked with the junk food that will try to derail you from your health goals. Don't plan to just eat lettuce and carrots though. You will never stick to some crazy restricted diet plan- you just won't. Maybe for a few days and then you will cave (I know from experience). Be realistic and plan GOOD FOOD!...
My go to's...
Grab a bag of shredded slaw in the produce section
Mix in a few tablespoons of mayo and a teaspoon of mustard.
Add a dash of celery seed, salt and pepper, oh and a couple capfuls of vinegar and BOOM!! you have healthier coleslaw then the sugar loaded kind you buy. MY KIDS LOVE THIS!
1/2 Cup brown rice
1/2 Cup black beans
1-2 Cups broccoli steamed
2 tablespoons salsa
2 tablespoons hummus
(I eat this EVERY SINGLE DAY) love it
Oats n Berries
As you know I have a granola addiction but while I am cleansing it is a no no, however I can still have OATMEAL ...WHooo Hoooo!
3/4 cup dried old fashioned oats
1 cup blueberries
dash of stevia
optional 1/2 Cup plain yogurt (almond or other based)
Add all except yogurt to a pot on the stove cover with water and bring to boil stirring almost constantly. Take off heat after boil and let set. Top with yogurt.
Boring? Maybe to you. But, I love these meals and look forward to them everyday. If I start to get sick of one I will substitute it with something else I love.....
That is the golden ticket friends--- EAT FOOD YOU LIKE..no LOVE!
WORKOUT FOR THE WEEK....
